APE: Atlanta Photography Exhibit

Launching Future Photographers

Project Pushpin – For the Kids

We sold out for the big Fall exhibit in less than a week, but there’s more up our sleeve.

Krista is putting together another great Project Pushpin event during the September Castleberry Hill Art Stroll.

This one will benefit Kids in Need (a project of Atlanta Community Foodbank), so bring your photos to hang up (and hopefully sell) and/or a donation to a great cause.

Check out ProjectPushpin.org for more info.

APE is proud to announce a call for Artists for the Southern Fried Photographers fall exhibit. This year, our expanded exhibit will be open on back-to-back Fridays – October 1st and October 8th. The first Friday, October 1st, coincides with Flux (previously known as Le Flash) and the kick off of Atlanta Celebrates Photography (ACP). The second Friday, October 8th, follows up with the ever popular Castleberry Hill Art Stroll.

The exhibits will be at both the Granite Room and its sister gallery Big House Studio in Castleberry Hill.

  • This is a non-themed exhibit; as long as it is a photo, it is acceptable.
  • This is non-juried. If there is space, you are in; unlike juried exhibits, where they ask for $25 entry fee with no guarantee of getting in the show.
  • Artists keep 100% of any sales.
  • Minimum frame size is 11×14; Maximum is 16×20
  • This is a two night art stroll exhibit!

Available Opportunities

$35 Option – One Framed Photo. An artist can hang one framed photo and bring 1 art bin of unframed matted bagged prints.  The unframed photos are included in the sales area. Each artist can sign up for more than one spot, same pricing and limits apply; see the other options below.

$65 Option – Two Framed Photos. Same as the $35 option plus one additional framed gallery photo.

$95 Option – Three Framed Photos. Same as the $35 option plus two additional framed gallery photos.

$150 Option – Artist Area. There are limited artist areas available and are limited to 1 per artist.  In an artist area, a photographer can hang as many framed photos as they like, usually 4-8 prints depending on the size of the frames. Your presentation must be professional, i.e. you can’t just throw up as many as you like, the artist area must be well presented. In addition, in each artist area, an artist can bring in their own bins to sell prints. There are no limits on the number of unframed prints/bins, since the artist has their own space.
